After years of fighting off publishers wanting to write about him and his legacy at Apple, Steve Jobs will finally allow a biography to be published about his life.

Supposedly, Jobs is going to be working side-by-side with Walter Isaacson according to a story on Cult of Mac.  Mr. Isaacson has written biographies about other great people in history such as Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and Henry Kissinger.

This is the first time that Mr. Jobs is allowing a book to be published about him and his life.  A few years back, Mr. Jobs told publisher Wiley & Sons to stop printing a biography that he did not approve.  Unfortunately for them they did not obey his wishes so Mr. Jobs pulled all of their books from the Apple retail stores.

Wiley & Sons has published books such as The Mac OS X Bible and Mac OS X Tiger For Dummies.

Leander Kahney, author of Cult of Mac and the book Inside Steve’s Brain has an interesting take on rumored book and also discusses some of the precautions he had to take when writing his book.  Check out his story here.
