It was a big day at Apple HQ. Apple released today, iLife 11 - with massive updates to iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand. iMovie now has the ability to create movie trailers - I can't wait to get Leonard in here to start working on that....speaking of which - has anyone seen Leonard lately? He's gone missing! Apple also previewed OS X 10.7 Lion. The preview was short and sweet, but essentially shows how Apple is using the iOS which was once influenced by OS X, to influence OS X! Our friends over at Macrumors are reporting that they received word today from sources who have gotten their hands on a OS X Build 10.6.5. Supposedly, the new build offers:

• improve reliability with Microsoft Exchange servers
• resolve a delay between print jobs
• address a printing issue for some HP printers connected to an Airport Extreme
• resolve an issue when dragging contacts from Address Book to iCal
• address an issue where dragging an item from a stack causes the Dock to not automatically hide
• add SSL support for uploading files to iDisk

So yesterday was the birthday for OS X. It was X years old (get it...it's 10!). MacWorld did an exposé (see what I did there! Another Apple pun) on it's history and life. An interesting quote towards the bottom of the article states that "Apple had a 20 to 30 year lifespan in mind for OS X".
