No AppleTV? Get a Mac Mini for your HTPC

The Mac Mini has always been a great HTPC computer. The newest edition has HDMI out, optical out for 5.1 audio, it's got a small footprint...but it fails in so many ways....no TV tuner, or a Blu-Ray Player. Well OtherWorldComputing (OWC) and Elgato have teamed up to create a stronger, better, faster Mac Mini. OWC will sell pre-configured Mac Mini's (both 2.4 and 2.6Ghz Core 2 Duo), with upgraded RAM, HD and it will come with the Elgato EyeTV HD, a Ble-ray disc burner, and the Apple Remote. You can optionally get a Mercury Elite-AL...

Rumor Mill: iPad v2 with second dock port or SD card slot

The Mission Repair blog has posted photos of what looks to be the back case of the next-gen iPad. The new case sports a second dock port hole, which could be for either docking in landscape mode or a SD card slot. Mission Repair has had a shaky history with calling Apple equipment. They got their hands on the 1st gen iPad shell where they, correctly, posted the internal antenna but incorrectly talked about the space for the camera (it turned out to be an ambient sensor) Apple already includes SD card slots on the Mac Mini, iMac...

Apple stores pull SuperDrives – Why?!

Ok so the story is that the Apple Store's are pulling the USB based SuperDrive which was designed for the MacBook Air and the Mac Mini server - the question is why? People believe it's because of the rumor of the smaller 11.6" MacBook Air that we talked about back in July. The Apple Store online was offline this morning but no changes were made to the front end - so maybe it's gonna be soon. Apple has yet to do release any information about their holiday promotions. ...

If you haven't seen them by now, the new Mac Mini's look AMAZING!  So thin, so sleek and very sexy.  Apple somehow managed to fit all of the necessary components into something that is half as wide as it was. Small and medium sized businesses love these machines because they are affordable, work horses and again, they just look awesome.  The only problem is that the are not easy to lock down or put in a rack mount environment.  That is where Macessity comes in with a great line of products. ATI, the video card maker, is dead. Started in 1985, the Canadian company was acquired by chip-maker AMD in 2006. For the last four years AMD has let ATI be, creating great video cards such as the Radeon series...until Today. AMD has deleted the ATI nomenclature from it's databases. Long live AMD!!! Ok so here's the story. AMD is moving towards the CPU-GPU combination systems. This is used for energy and space saving. Remember when the first MacBooks and Mac Minis came out? They had an Intel GPU950. That combination GPU share...

Need we say more?

Ok but because you asked....This is the Brabus Mercedes-Benz S600 iBusiness edition. While the car itself tops out 211MPH, you can be working at 1000MPH on 2 iPads, a Mac Mini connected to a 15.2" display, and a 64GB iPod Touch. Internet is of course provided by the local 3G wireless provider. Brabus doesn't post a price, but let's just say the car alone starts at $150,000....so you do the math....I'm still...
