Apple Why Must You Toy With My Emotions?

Every time I forget that at one point in time Apple planned to release a white version of the iPhone 4 a new rumor pops its ugly little head and makes me get all worked up for nothing. So I am going to channel my inner Don Draper and write a formal resignation from following the white iPhone (if you don't know what I mean when I say channel my inner Don Draper watch Mad Men Season 4 Episode 12: "Blowing Smoke"). This article will not be about the news that there is a possibility, again, that the white...

Another bug has been found in the security of iOS 4. Last time a bug was found it allowed geeks all over the world to rejoice because it meant that the beautiful new iPhone 4 could be jail-broken and freed from its iOS 4 shackles. Well there is nothing good about this bug, unless you like to use people's iPhones without putting in their passwords.  That's right the bug allows you to access the phone, contacts, and voice-mails without actually putting in a password.  Embedded is a YouTube video from Boy Genius Report of how to use the bug to...

Ok well, it's not an official release from Apple, but close enough. For those who can't get the white iPhone (as we discussed yesterday they aren't shipping for color reasons) - you can replace the black glass with a brushed metal. Just like when tricking out a car, sleek looks make it go faster. (Disclaimer: this is NOT true). Cnn.cn - who is not CNN the news station BTW - is selling metal backs for the iPhone for 13 bucks. To replace the black glass just simply remove the 2 screws by the dock connector,...

Reminder to all those who are using the new iPhone 4 - Apple's free bumper/case program ends September 30th. If you haven't already applied for the case, download the free app to your iPhone and send your order in to Apple. If you haven't purchase an iPhone 4, and plan to - hurry up! Antennagate viva la Mexico!

CanalMX has posted some comments from an executive at TelCel, one of the two iPhone providers in Mexico. The exec has claimed that Apple will be revising the current hardware, which has been plagued with the "death grip", at the end of September, which is when the free case program expires. Now, wether or not this is true is hard to say - honestly speaking why would an executive at TelCel have this kind of information. Maybe he just misunderstood what the Sept 30th case expiration date really meant. Apple did say that the expiration...

Ok so you are a big shot international traveler. And you know that AT&T's roaming rates are crap. So what do you do? You can get a second SIM card and keep popping it in and out when you need it, or you can spend $29 bucks and get a Dual SIM card system from USBFever. Now here at the BAB, we are questioning it's validity, but it looks pretty solid. It currently works with all the firmwares that come with the iPhone 4 (4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2). It even comes with...

The iPhone 4 is now available in Mexico on the Apple Website. Much like the Canadian version (unlike the US version) the phone comes unlocked. The iPhone is available on two different providers in Mexico - Telcel and Movistar...but since I don't speak any spanish (hey I took French in high school!) I can't seem to find any pricing.
