Mark your calendars people of China - September 25th - 8am, that's gonna be YOUR day to get the new iPhone 4. Both Apple Stores, in Shanghai and Beijing will be selling the phone contract-free. China Unicom will also be selling the phone but with a 2 year contract. China Unicom has been taking pre-orders for a few days. The 16GB model will be selling for $745 (CHY 4,999) and the 32GB model for $895 (CHY 5,999).

Apple today announced that the Wi-Fi models of its magical iPad will be available to customers in China from Apple Retail Stores, and select Apple Authorized Resellers, on Friday, September 17 starting at 10:00 a.m.
