On Thursday, Netflix (aka the red envelope DVD in the mail company) released an app for the iPhone allowing users to stream your instant queue. The app is essentially an upgrade of the iPad version of the app which as been around since April. While you clearly lose screen size (compared to say your iPad or your computer) you can in resolution from the Retina display. The app even allows streaming over 3G, but if you are new iPhone user watch how much you download - remember AT&T recently changed their plans - topping out at 2GB...

Says Apple! Apple put out a Press Release today discussing the issue of the signal strength of the new iPhone 4. Apple is claiming that the formula used to calculate signal strength is completely wrong. Apparently with the "bad formula" mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should, so when you see it drop by 2 it's really showing the actual signal strength, but then you multiple it by 1.3x and add your age, and well it's just confusing! Either way, Apple says they are working on a software fix that will take care of this alleged issue...

Much like the release of the iPad - Apple underestimated the demand for it's new hot product. Even with the nuclear meltdown of the AT&T and Apple pre-order servers, people found ways to get their orders in. Only 24 hours later the shipping date for the new iPhone 4 has been pushed from June 24th to July 2nd. Apparently you can still get the $99 3GS - but do you really want to??? Only the black iPhone 4 was available for pre-order so if you desperately need that white one, you better be ready to stand...

As many of you know the iPhone 4 pre-order began today. Many of you also know the pre-order process was not as smooth as expected; both the Apple and AT&T online stores were down due to the giant influx of users trying to ensure that they will be able to obtain the newest release of the iPhone immediately after launch on June 24th. Another problem has popped its head, for those of you who have not yet pre-ordered. AT&T is now reporting that they are sold out of iPhone 4s and will not be accepting any more pre-orders for launch...
