Well AT&T finally put the kabash on the unlimited data plan. AT&T announced new plans for both the iPhone and the iPad. The new plans are $15 and $25 but will cap the $25 plan at 2GB of data. AT&T swears that no on on the iPad or iPhone using 3G should need more than that. They think that 200MB of data is good enough for 150 emails with attachments, or 20 minutes of video.

AT&T also released a $20 plan that allows for tethering with the iPhone 4, BUT you can’t use tethering if you are on the $25 plan!!

These new plans start on June 7th for all new users. If you are in a current contract your unlimited data plan stays in effect, but once you renew it will change to the new plans.
