148apps has recorded 252,227 apps in the App store as of last saturday. This includes all apps for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. We’re sure this will all be said again when Mr. Jobs does his keynote this coming Wednesday. Electronista reports that while the App store has the commanding lead, the Android market has about 100,000 apps, and the poor blackberry only has 9,000 despite RIM having a larger market share in the smartphone arena. If this were wrestling, RIM would be the large guy who always used to win, Android would be the evil guy who tries to cheat, and the the iPhone would be new guy who not only wins but brings all his fans and friends to help! (Sorry I watched WWE for like the first time in months the other night…PS when did the Miz go from the Real World to WWE?)
