Kara Swisher (aka mini-Walt Mossberg) wrote an article on All Things Digital about why there was no Facebook integration with the new Ping service – Apple’s new Social Media tool that is now a huge part of iTunes 10. Jobs, according to Swisher, pretty much said that Apple had discussions with Facebook but they ultimately went nowhere. Maybe they are in limbo with (Inception spoiler alert) Leo DiCaprio and his movie wife.
Swisher then asked Jobs “Why not have Ping incorporate with Facebook connect?” and Jobs replied with a great answer “We could, I guess”. How classic!
