What seems to be a blow to the blogosphere (we aren’t offended), Apple announced that it will live stream the event that is happening later today. An Apple tipster, who wishes to remain anonymous, says that todays live stream will test the new server farm that was built in North Carolina.
In Apple’s press bulletin “Apple® will broadcast its September 1 event online using Apple’s industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires either a Mac® running Safari® on Mac OS® X version 10.6 Snow Leopard®, an iPhone® or iPod touch® running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad™.”
While we all assume the new iPod Nanos, and the new iTV – I personally feel like there could be more up Steve’s black turtlenecked shirt sleeve. This is the first time in years Apple will be live streaming so Steve knows the pressure is on.
