We’ve all heard it before. “Please step to the side for additional screening.” I’m guilty of leaving change in my pocket or a belt on when walking through security at the airport. The biggest pain comes when you have to take your laptop out of the bag, put it in a separate bin and hope you have no issues with it going through the screener. But what about your iPad?
My iPod Touch can stay in my backpack and go through without any problems so why can’t my iPad? Since it’s not officially a laptop and it’s not a netbook, will it have to come out and sit in a bin on its own? Nobody knows, including the TSA.
If you don’t want to chance it, I’d suggest getting a TSA compliant bag. You can find a few on the eBags website.
